MOVE Training at SoutheastCon 2017

Become part of our team!

The IEEE-USA MOVE truck has been used to achieve great and highly impactful results! It has deployed to 5 disasters, has been used for home fire campaigns in NC, and has been used for 5 STEM events. It is an excellent example of how IEEE can use technology to positively impact those around us.

Details

MOVE Training will be held at SoutheastCon in Charlotte, NC, from 9am to 4pm on Friday, March 31. Lunch will be provided to participants. Hotel and other travel expenses to attend MOVE training will NOT be covered by Region 3 or by the MOVE project. Travel expenses can be covered personally, or perhaps through a sponsor or your Section, if the Section approves. The training will cover general use of the truck for deployments and STEM events, but will not cover driving.

  • Anyone interested in training to be a driver can contact Jill Gostin (mo**@ie*****.org)  for more information
  • Registration for training at SoutheastCon is now closed.

We would like to begin forming local teams of MOVE-trained individuals, who can lead STEM events or participate in deployments. Start thinking about who can be on your team!

The SoutheastCon website can be found here, but note that registration for MOVE training closed on March 13th. Please contact Jill Gostin (mo**@ie*****.org) if you are interested in future training / volunteer events.
