Giving Tuesday

Giving Tuesday is December 3rd. We would appreciate your support!!

Donating to MOVE will ensure that committed, passionate IEEE volunteers have the necessary resources to provide disaster relief support.

IEEE_USA’s MOVE Community Outreach Initiative is an emergency relief program committed to supporting relief workers and victims of natural disasters by providing short-term communications, computer, and power solutions for field operations. The American Red Cross provides access and logistical support for IEEE volunteers to provide this assistance.

Your donation will help provide connectivity, fuel, and power solutions to assist those in need.

The project was launched in 2016 and has responded to 14 disasters , including eight hurricanes, multiple flooding incidents and wildfires, a devastating tornado, and even an eclipse (providing airport communications support). 2017 was particularly active as teams of volunteers were continuously deployed from August 25, 2017 through February 7, 2018 to assist in the preparation and recovery efforts of Hurricane Harvey (Houston, TX), Irma (Florida), and Maria (Puerto Rico).

When not deployed for natural disasters, MOVE volunteers conduct community outreach and facilitate learning opportunities for students and the general public in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM). They have been as far west as Texas, and as far north as New York to get students excited about STEM.

IEEE-USA’s MOVE team is Advancing Technology for Humanity. Please help us in this goal by donating to MOVE today!
