Our booth felt electric, thanks to all of you. People kept saying they’d just pop in for a minute, but we found ourselves having so many meaningful conversations about our programs, answering funding questions, talking about a SIGHT Group back home, or a project idea they’d been sitting on for months.
We also got to mark ten years of IEEE MOVE Global
, and the volunteers who’ve shown up for more than 40 disaster responses to make that record possible.
So many thanks are due…
We’re grateful to our Chair, Grayson Randall, who spoke passionately about Engineering with Purpose, and to our Ignite Stage speakers who somehow made the best of five minutes: Amira Ouerfelli on IEEE SIGHT, Matthew Imhoff on IEEE Tech4Good, Melody Richardson on MOVE into STEM, and Francisco Carrero on ten years of IEEE MOVE.
A big and special Thank You to IEEE President Mary Ellen Randall, whose idea as a Region 3 Director became IEEE MOVE in the first place, and to 2020 IEEE President Toshio Fukuda, who both stopped by to see our work firsthand.
A special shoutout to Emi Yano, Loretta Arellano, and Sadhana Attavar, our 2026 MOVE Global Committee Members, for generously volunteering their time to create a welcoming experience for everyone who stopped by our booth.
To our team, who have been working tirelessly to bring this experience to life, you’re the engine of HT. ![]()
And to you, Sections Congress, whether you’re just finding us or you’ve been around long enough to know half the people at our booth by name, we’re glad you found us.
