Asheville, NC – Public Visibility Event

IEEE-USA has a mobile disaster relief program committed to assisting victims of natural disasters with short-term solutions for communications, computer access, and power. These temporary emergency relief provisions help people stay connected and make sure they can access the help they need. The method of providing these services is through the IEEE-USA sponsored Mobile Outreach VEhicle (MOVE). This vehicle has a large array of technology on-board.

Volunteers deploy the vehicle to disaster areas at the request of the American Red Cross Organization.

The MOVE vehicle will be open for tours from 10:00 AM until 7:00 PM on Wednesday, August 23rd in Biltmore Park (There will be a presentation following at 7:00 PM).
