The 2020 Hurricane Season has Started

Today is the first day of the Atlantic hurricane season (it runs through November 30th). At this time, another storm is being monitored (https://www.nhc.noaa.gov/) in the Gulf of Mexico (Arthur and Bertha formed in May – The next named storm that develops this season will be Cristobal).

Nearly all weather entities are forecasting for an above-average hurricane season for 2020 – See NOAA’s forecast HERE.

MOVE is prepared to help. However, the health and safety of our volunteers are of paramount importance during the COVID pandemic. Deployments will be affected by the current status of the pandemic, local and national guidelines, IEEE and Red Cross policies, as well as the comfort, concerns, and availability of volunteers.
